Mom and Me Try It

Saturday, May 16, 2015

9am to 11am

We know the perfect way to spend time with your mother or motherly figure (aunt, grandma, family friend, etc.) in celebration of Mother’s Day this month. Share the experience of learning to create your very own wheel thrown pottery. Students will join instructor Natalie Thomas as she guides them into the world of wheel throwing. Here the students will learn the basics of wheel throwing in a friendly environment. They will choose their best 2 pieces to keep and pick out their glaze colors. Due to the many other steps that need to be completed before a finished piece is produced, Natalie will, trim, fire and glaze your pieces for you. They will be available at a later date for pick up. Class size is limited so you must pre-register by calling the studio at 816-941-2555. Class fee is $95 per couple.  A $25 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration and will go towards the class fee. Participants must be 8 years of age or older.

Registration has begun on Clay Camps!!

See more on the Summer Clay Camp page.

Try It Night Parties

Try It Nights are designed to give you a sneak peek into the world of wheel throwing or hand building. Participants will join owner Natalie in a 3-hour class. In this time Natalie will let participants try their hands at wheel throwing or hand building (must be a choice between the two). After creating their pieces and picking out a glaze color Natalie will finish the pieces for you.  Then the piece can be picked up at a later date. Class size is limited to 6-8 people. Please contact the studio for more information.

Try It Nights are great for a girl’s night out gathering, bridesmaids outing, couples events, etc.

Comments from previous Try It Night participants: “Thanks for a great evening! Such a class act!”, “Had a great time!”, “We’re still all a buzz about it and it’s been a week since the class!”
